Where are TTW workshops held?

All of our Philadelphia workshops are held at the Tuft Education Studio in the Bok Building: Tuft the World x Lobo Mau, 1901 S. 9th Street., Room 501, Philadelphia, PA 19148

Building Entrance: 

The Dudley Street entrance is open to the public M-F 9-5pm. You can enter here for access to all the spaces in the building.

The 8th, 9th and Mifflin Street entrances are only accessable by using in the Butterfly keypad near the door. Simply search for Tuft the World on the screen and asked to be let in. We will buzz you in remotely.

How do I get there?

Parking and Transportation: Street parking is available near the building, with each block varying in parking permit guidelines–be sure to check signage for time limits. Parking can be difficult in this area of South Philly! If coming at peak times, consider parking further away and taking the train/bus/lyft in. If you’re using public transportation, Bok is located near the 45 and 47 bus routes, as well as the Synder and Tasker/Morris stops on the Broad Street Line.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope! All materials are provided in the workshop. We suggest bringing a light meal or snacks if the workshop overlaps with mealtime.

For Intro to Tufting workshops, we’ll cover the basics of creating a successful rug design, but you may want to think about the design you’ll tuft prior to arrival. Designs should be approximately 24” x 24” or smaller (the size of the tufting frame). Think large color forms rather than highly detailed imagery.

Can My Kid Tuft? What’s Your Minor Policy?

Minors between the ages of 10 and 13 can enroll in our tufting workshops, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the entire workshop. Minors between the ages of 14 and 17 do not have to be accompanied by an adult. A parent or guardian will be required to complete and sign a workshop release for all minors attending the class.
